In celebration of its 75th anniversary, the leading provider of refrigerated prepared foods challenged collegiate acapella groups to create the company’s first-ever jingle
BEAVERTON, Ore., June 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc. today announced it has selected four college acapella groups as the winners of its Good Times Jingle competition, with the University of Virginia’s The Hullabahoos securing the grand prize spot. The group was distinguished for its playful, original, acapella-style song capturing the Reser’s brand personality, and bested celebrated college vocal groups from all over the U.S. who participated in the fun. As the grand prize winner, The Hullabahoos will receive $25,000 in prize money to support their music program, along with up to $20,000 in travel expenses to perform at the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts in Beaverton, Oregon.
“We’re thrilled to be able to support the arts with this unique program,” said board chair Patricia Reser. “Supporting education and the arts has been a longtime passion for our family and being part of the judging committee was an honor. These fantastic submissions expertly and creatively captured the good times we’ve shared with fans of our delicious foods over the last 75 years.”
“The process pushed us creatively and reminded us how fun and fulfilling collaboration can be,” comments Hullabahoo member Teddy Price. “We’re incredibly proud and excited to see the jingle out in the world!”
Former Hullabahoos President Nick Chu adds, “We recently started an endowment fund to secure the financial future of the group, and we’re looking forward to contributing some of the incredibly generous winnings so future generations of Hullabahoos can continue to make the memories and impact we have.”
Three additional groups, No Comment A Cappella (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), The Dartmouth Aires (Dartmouth College) and Pitch, Please! (Northeastern University) — representing 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners — received cash prizes valued at $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000, respectively.
