A two-part auction of Chicago collectors James and Merilynn Alsdorf to be held on September 24th, 2020 in New York. All bidding will be done by phone or online, Previewing the sale can easily be done by making an appointment.

An outstanding selection of Indian and Himalayan art including rare bronzes including a 12th Century Ganesha, a superb 9th to 10th C. Vajrapani, Chola examples including an exceptional South India 11th C. Shiva Tripuravijaya est. $1,000,000 to $1,500,00 US. Also a SUPERB 15th C. Gilt Ming period seated Kwan yin. Chinese porcelain in Part 1 will include A fine Kangxi Peach bloom Water Pot “Taibai Zun” est $150,000 to $250,000,

Chinese Porcelains include numerous mark and period Qing porcelains with a particular focus on fine monochromes of the Kangxi to Daoguang period. Featuring a Yongzheng mark and period copper red dish, several fine “GE” type Qianlong examples, a Qianlong “Ru-type” brush washer, numerous early bronzes and Tang Dynasty stone carvings. A fine horse painting by Xu Beihong.
