Dr. Ruth Hayes, who was born in Passaic, New Jersey, on April 5, 1929, has completed her new book "If I Can, You Can": an encouraging and empowering work that follows the author's tumultuous journey through life that was ultimately defined by her perseverance and steadfast faith.
As a young girl, she did something that she was not proud of but felt it was a means to an end. She grew up fast. She dropped out of school, had to get married, had children, and started working. She had to learn to trust and believe in God repeatedly. She had to bring God back into her life as well as her children's life.
Author Dr. Ruth Hayes grew up with her cousins, who at times saw her as their very own sibling. Even as a child, she learned quickly how to adjust to a sense of juvenile independence that would eventually lead her to her destiny.
After many years of settling disappointments and comfortable poverty, it was more than a notion to collect her belongings, her children, and her thoughts then press her way into a life that only the grandest of this world could imagine.
Dr. Hayes earned her Ph.D. from Union Experimenting College and University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She currently works as a grant writer at We Search & Development in Gray, Georgia. She gives God the glory for her well-lived life with all its great adventures and challenges. Her philosophy to all people who struggle with the confidence to stay on the path of their dreams through repetitive challenges remains her daily acclamation: "If I can, you can."
Author Dr. Ruth Hayes begins her work, writing, "God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good. My story is not unique. It's not different. I'm just a woman that knows God will give you anything you need and most of what you want. All you have to do is love, ask, and obey him. I did in the beginning, but I certainly didn't always obey him. I didn't even think about him most of the time. In fact, he was seldom on my mind. I was too busy living the life I thought I wanted. I went to church occasionally, but it was when it was convenient for me and when I wanted to."
Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Dr. Ruth Hayes' new book reminds readers that, through God, everything is possible. She encourages readers to trust and believe.
Readers can purchase "If I Can, You Can" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
